Fundraising Opportunity - Military Veterans Tournament
First, I'd like to thank you for being a member of the Fort Worth Apartment Association. We acknowledge and appreciate your commitment to fostering the multifamily industry, and we hope to continue serving this industry for years to come.
Let me tell you about FWAA's focus on military veterans and the causes that support them. In 2021, Our Leadership Lyceum candidates created a vision for a program for FWAA to support military veterans in various ways. Their first call to action was creating a Military Veterans Committee. Over the next two years, this committee put together an incredible plan for FWAA to support veterans who have PTSD. This debilitating condition leads to countless and unnecessary loss of life for veterans. As we see it, one veteran suicide is one too many.
Fast forward to now, our Military Veterans Committee created a new fundraising event. We are hosting our first-ever Military Veterans Charity Golf Tournament, partnering with the PTSD Foundation of America and presented by Texas Southwest Floors. This incredible organization has helped a significant number of veterans rise from the throes of PTSD and live everyday, productive lives. The scars of war are indeed indescribable, and with help, former soldiers can overcome and rise above their circumstances.
Here's how you can help! Numerous members of FWAA are either veteran-owned or have veterans working for them. What better way to show your support and give back than by supporting our efforts?
