Get to Know Your Association Staff: Part 2
Skylare Knight: Receptionist – 9 months with AATC!
Skylare is the face of our association. As our full-time receptionist, it is her main priority to assist our members: directing and answering every phone call, doing a large chunk of our data entry, keeping inventory stocked, prepping conference rooms for meetings, organizing the reservations of our meeting spaces, and assisting the staff on all needs for AATC and our events. Skylare has a huge personality with a beaming smile to match – her laugh is contagious, and her attitude is always top notch. It’s hard to have a bad day with Skylare in the office! Sitting at our front door and running the lobby area, she loves getting to meet everyone that is involved with our association. She enjoys making everyone feel comfortable, welcomed, and at ease when attending events or coming in to meet with staff. She has been a great addition to the AATC team and has made a big impression in her short time with us.
As a mother of a rambunctious three-year-old boy, Kollin, they are always looking for the next great adventure and fun thing to do locally. Skylare moved here from Jackson, Mississippi five years ago for better opportunities and has been loving life as a Texan! She has been trying a lot of new foods, meeting as many people as possible, and going back home to visit her huge family as often as possible. Skylare originally set out to be an elementary school teacher and went to college at Jackson State University. She landed a job as a leasing agent, and she decided that the multifamily industry is where she wanted to stay instead. While pink is still her favorite color and mac-and-cheese is still her go to meal—a lot has changed for Skylare in the last five years, and we are glad to be a part of her growth and future!
