Every structurally sound multifamily property is built on a firm foundation. With Texas’ clay soil and fickle weather, it is imperative to have a solid foundation. Similarly, AATC networking events lay the foundation for robust and enduring owner/operator and supplier relationships. The AATC Business Exchange, presented by Perma Pier Foundation of Texas on August 8th at the Hurst Conference Center, is the nation’s premier multifamily networking event.

AATC’s Business Exchange is the nation’s original and largest reverse trade show—business-to-business speed dating. More importantly, thanks to AATC’s extraordinary multifamily industry leaders, the Business Exchange produces the largest annual contribution to the National Apartment Association’s Political Action Committee (NAA PAC). Since 2019, this event has raised more than $450,000 for NAA PAC!

From the CARES Act 30-day notice to vacate (NTV) to federal tax policies, AATC members must maintain proactive federal advocacy. Washington must hear our industry’s voice loud and clear. Our industry is under constant attack from Congress and the White House. Owner/operator and supplier partner participation in the Business Exchange demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that federal policymakers understand the impact of their decisions on our industry.

The 2023 AATC Business Exchange is Tuesday, August 8th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Hurst Conference Center (1601 Campus Dr, Hurst, TX 76054).

Both owner/operator and supplier partner registration are still open. To register, go to https://www.aatcnet.org/events/2023-aatc-business-exchange-copy.

This event is FREE to AATC owner/operator members. Please note that as an owner/operator, your registration includes a commitment to a specific number of decision-makers and to replace any registered team member unable to attend.

This year’s event is $350 per supplier attendee, with a limit of four attendees per supplier. Just a reminder, the Business Exchange is a federal PAC fundraiser, so payment is only by personal credit card – no corporate/company credit cards allowed. No one will be admitted without prior payment; no-shows will not be refunded, and no walk-ins will be accepted. Cancellations must be confirmed by August 4th—no refunds after the cancellation date.

In 2023, we added a supplier registration incentive. If AATC supplier members attend both the AATC and AAGD Business Exchange events, your supplier company will be entered into a drawing for dinner with AATC President Cayce Coons and friends!

This year, we will be giving away three Remarkable Tablets at the end of the event to lucky owner/operator attendees. For owners/operators that registered before July 1st, you will have an opportunity to win Table for 10 ($1,700 value) at the 2023 AATC Education Conference on Thursday, October 19th, at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Don’t forget to attend the Trade Show on the same day!

Back by popular demand, this year’s VIP exclusive sponsorship opportunity is from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. before the main event. The Very Important Pitch (VIP) is a Shark Tank-style presentation where you will have three minutes to address the entire room of owners/managers at the event from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. There will also be 30 minutes of exclusive networking from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for all Very Important Pitch participants in the room before the main event starts

For AATC owners/operators, the Business Exchange:

  • Support your industry’s federal advocacy initiatives;
  • Help Stop Eviction Moratoriums, Tax Increases, Onerous Industry Regulations;
  • Learn about the latest products and services; and
  • Gather pricing data ahead of budget season.

For AATC supplier partner, the Business Exchange presented by Perma Pier :

  • Access to more than 200 DFW owner/operator executives;
  • More than 50 OM companies; and
  • Get one-on-one face time with owner/manager decision-makers.

A big thank you to Perma Pier Foundation Repair of Texas for being our presenting sponsor. Special thanks to the Business Exchange Committee for all their hard work in making this event happen. This event would not have been possible without the support of AATC and NAA staff members Mindy Barnes and Jim Wilson.
