2018 Primary Run-off Elections - May 22:
AATC PAC & NAA PAC supported candidates Chris Gregory (R – JP Precinct 4) and Ron Wright (R – TX 6) won their May 22nd, primary run-off elections.
Gregory (62%) easily defeat incumbent Justice of the Peace Jacquelyn Wright (38%) in the hotly contested Republican primary run-off for the northwest Tarrant County precinct 4 seat. AATC PAC contributed $3,500 to Gregory’s campaign. Gregory is a Lake Worth Police officer.
Current Tarrant County Tax Assessor-Collector and long-time AATC friend Ron Wright (51%) won a hard-fought contest with Jake Ellzey (49%) for the Republican nomination for Texas congressional district 6 (Arlington, Mansfield, Ellis County & Navarro County). NAA PAC contributed $5,000 to Wright’s campaign.
In the other significant races to our industry, Jason Charbonnet (60%) beat Chris Garcia (40%) for the Republican nomination for Justice of the Peace precinct 6. Incumbent JP Gary Ritchie did not make the run-off. AATC met with Charbonnet and anticipates he will be an excellent Justice of the Peace, and, like Gregory, Charbonnet is a Kennedale police officer. Wendy Burgess (56%) beat Mike Snyder (44%) for the Republican nomination for Tax Assessor-Collector.
Based on last night’s election results, Tarrant County will have 3 new Justices of Peace in January: Bill Brandt (Precinct 3), Chris Gregory (Precinct 4), and Jason Charbonnet (Precinct 6).
AATC looks forward to work with Burgess, Charbonnet, Gregory, and Wright.
