2003 Lone Star Awards FORT WORTH, Texas — The Apartment Association of
Tarrant County, a 36-year-old trade association
for owners and managers of rental housing in north
Texas, will announce the area’s best properties,
managers, leasing agents and other professional
recognitions at its annual Lone Star Awards May
21.
The Lone Star Awards were started three years ago
to recognize the best of the best in the
multihousing industry. Professionals in the
multihousing industry submitted more than 140
nominations to AATC. Over the course of three
months, 24 judges visited area multihousing
properties for one-on-one interviews.

“These awards are highly regarded in our
industry,” said John Mitchell, executive director
of the Apartment Association of Tarrant County.
“Our members think of it as the Academy Awards of
the multihousing industry.”

The Apartment Association of Tarrant County is a
36-year old North Central Texas trade association,
with more than 1,200 member companies and
individuals who own, operate or provide products
and services to owners and managers of nearly
151,000 apartment homes located in Erath, Hood,
Jack, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell,
Tarrant and Wise Counties.
