AATC Staff

John H. Mitchell,
Executive Director


John has served since 1992 as the association’s chief executive officer. He is responsible for AATCs leadership team, including its staff, executive officers, board of directors, TAA directors and NAA delegates. John also serves as the staff director for the association’s Strategic Planning, Nominating and Lyceum committees as well as its Education Foundation.

Sheila Wiggin,
General Manager

Sheila has served the association since 1985, including her current capacity as our CFO & General Manager. She is responsible for AATCs financial management, human resources, information systems and facilities. Sheila also serves as the staff director for the Budget Committee, Awards and Installation Banquet, Megan's Care Team and Foundation Divas Cup fundraiser.

Perry Pillow,
Director of Legislative Services



Perry has served the association since 1995 as its chief lobbyist and multifamily advocacy expert. He is responsible for AATCs political action committee as well as its resident services initiatives. Perry services as the staff director for the Government Affairs and Independent Rental Owner Committees and oversees AATCs nationally-acclaimed Business Exchange.

Jason Loughridge,
Director of Career Development


Jason just started his second stint with AATC as the Director of Career Development. Jason serves as the staff director for the association’s Career Development Committee; delivering NAAEIs professional designation programs, as well as AATCs own award-winning education curricula. Jason is also coordinates AATC's Lone Star Awards Program.

Ed Blinn,
Director of Communications


Ed has served as the apartment association’s Director of Communications since 2007. He is the editor of Dimensions Magazine, provides all the professional IT needs for AATCs web site and produces a wide variety of print, photographic and digital communication tools. Ed is the staff director for AATCs Committee and liaison to area media requests.

Darla Doyle,
Director of Member Services

Darla has served in a variety of capacities since joining the association’s staff in 1990. She currently serves as AATCs Director of Membership Services, providing members with value-added resources, including TAAs inventory of management forms. Darla also manages several accounting functions and serves as the staff director for AATCs Ambassadors of Fun.

Steve Grissom,
Director of Meetings & Special Events

Steve joined the association’s staff in 1991 as our Director of Education and currently serves as our Director of Meetings & Special Events. Steve is the staff director for numerous programs, including our Products and Services Council, Community Services Committee, trade show, golf tournaments and Maintenance Mania programs.
