CAPS FAQ
Q: What are the requirements for CAPS?
A: Students must have worked in the multi-housing industry as a multi-site manager for 2-years or hold a CAM, ARM or RAM credential with 2-years of management experience; they must have successfully completed the required 5 courses (40 hours); and meet all the examination requirements within 12-months (rather than 24 months as in years past) of declaring candidacy for CAPS.
Q: Can I take CAPS online?
A: No, we currently only offer in-class learning opportunities.
Q: If I’m already a CAPS candidate, are there resources available from NAAEI
to help me?

Q: Once I get my CAPS certificate, how do I maintain it?
A: The CAPS credential requires annual renewal. You’ll need to submit a $100 fee and document 6-hours of continuing education credits after the 1st year to complete the renewal. Click here to find out more about keeping your CAPS current.
